High School Marching Band Camp

Our summer marching band camp is less than a month away! Camp will take place the week of August 11th - 14th and is required of all those enrolled in high school band. Everyone should have received the summer mailer back in May and also received a copy during class, but it is attached here as a reminder. The mailer also includes a list of all performance dates for the 2014-2015 school year. Students: please remember to give our band camp schedule to your employers in advance! Enjoy the rest of your summer vacation and we look forward to seeing you in August!

Congratulations to the combined 7th/8th grade and high school bands on wonderful performances at both 8th grade promotion and high school graduation! 



Six Flags St. Louis Music Festival

Congratulations to the High School Band for receiving an Excellent rating at the Six Flags St. Louis Music Festival last Friday! The students had a fun filled day exploring the park and followed it up with a wonderful afternoon performance. Great job!

Junior High Combined Band

Students from the junior high band met with other students from North Mac, Waverly, Franklin, Winchester and Northwestern last Friday to experience playing in a larger ensemble. The students rehearsed all day with directors from the other area schools, and put on a fantastic performance at the end of the day! Great job!

Chili Supper Fundraiser a Success!

 Thank you to everyone who came out to our annual Chili Supper Fundraiser Monday night! With your help, we were able to raise a substantial amount of money to support our band program!
 Thank you also to the jazz band for providing some wonderful background music for the evening!

IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest

Congratulations to Taylor Bergschneider, Trista Ishmael, Emily Rhodes, Laura Simpson, Claire Starling and Jacob Turner for performing at the IHSA Solo and Ensemble State contest this weekend!

Tri-County Honor Band Festival

Congratulations to the members of the high school band who participated in the Tri-County Honor Band yesterday at Waverly! Our students combined with over 70 other students from Auburn, Northwestern, North Mac, Pawnee, and Waverly for a day of fantastic music making. The honor band rehearsed with guest conductor Judy Grimes for over seven hours to put on a wonderful evening performance! An extra special congratulations goes to Emily Tipsword for being one of two bass clarinets awarded the "Oustanding Section" award!
